AFT Score Chart 2026: Army Fitness Test Points and Standards
The current Army Fitness Test uses five scored events, with each event worth up to 100 points. This guide explains how to read the AFT score chart without digging through the official PDF every time you want to check a score.
How the AFT score chart works
Each AFT event is scored on a point scale that runs up to 100 points. The current five-event test produces a maximum total score of 500.
The official score tables are organized by event, age group, and scoring column. For most Soldiers, the general standard is age and sex normed. Soldiers in designated combat specialties use the combat standard where applicable.
The fastest way to use the chart is to identify your age group, choose the correct scoring column, find your raw performance, and then read the assigned point value.
Minimum passing scores
The general AFT passing standard is 60 points in every event and at least 300 total points.
The combat standard keeps the 60-point event minimum but raises the required total to at least 350 points.
A strong total score cannot save a failed event. If one event is below 60 points, the test result is not passing even when the combined total looks high.
Why the chart can feel confusing
Time events and repetition events move in opposite directions. More repetitions or more weight improve a score, while faster times improve a score for timed events.
The AFT also includes alternate aerobic events for eligible Soldiers. Those are handled as Go or No-Go standards rather than normal 0-to-100 scored events.
For quick checks, use the calculator first, then use the score chart guide when you need to understand why a result changed.
What is the maximum AFT score?

How many points do I need to pass the AFT?
